Repository Policy

Self-Archiving Policy

To support wider dissemination of knowledge and transparency in scholarly communication, Al-Kasyaf: Jurnal Studi Al-Qur’an dan Hadis allows and encourages authors to self-archive their work — including articles, reviews, or similar content — in personal or institutional repositories of their choice.

This policy aligns with open-access best practices and ensures that Al-Kasyaf articles remain discoverable and accessible even outside the journal website, while preserving citation accuracy and licensing integrity.

Definitions

(adapted from SHERPA/RoMEO guidelines)

  • Pre-print: Version before peer review, often shared to seek feedback before submission.
  • Post-print: The author’s accepted manuscript (AAM) after peer review and editorial revision, before journal formatting.
  • Publisher’s version: The final, formatted PDF as published in Al-Kasyaf.

Archiving Guidelines

Authors may share pre-print and post-print versions through personal webpages or public repositories, provided that these versions clearly indicate their status (e.g., “pre-review” or “accepted manuscript”) and link to the official version once available.

After the final publisher’s version is released, authors may deposit this version in an institutional repository or trusted digital archive. When doing so, please include the following note:

Published as [insert complete bibliographic reference as it appears in Al-Kasyaf], available via DOI or the official journal link.

License and Compliance

All versions of the article — whether pre-print, post-print, or publisher’s version — must comply with the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) . This license allows redistribution for non-commercial purposes, provided that proper credit is given and the material remains unmodified.

Note: Upon archiving, authors are encouraged to include the DOI or canonical URL of the published version to maintain visibility and citation consistency within the Al-Kasyaf ecosystem.
