1. Workflow Overview
- All manuscripts are submitted and processed exclusively through the Open Journal System (OJS) platform at https://journal.al-ahlajournal.id/.
- Each submission is assigned a unique identification number for tracking purposes throughout the editorial and review stages.
- Communication between authors, editors, and reviewers is handled entirely within the OJS environment to maintain confidentiality and documentation integrity.
2. Peer Review Management
- The OJS system automatically assigns submitted manuscripts to editors and reviewers according to their field of expertise.
- All reviews are conducted under a double-blind system, ensuring impartial evaluation and ethical review practices.
- Reviewers provide structured feedback directly within the OJS system, allowing authors to revise their manuscripts efficiently and transparently.
3. Copyediting, Layout, and Production
- After acceptance, manuscripts undergo professional copyediting and layout formatting by the editorial production team.
- Authors can preview proofs and approve final versions before publication through the OJS platform.
- Each article is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure long-term accessibility and citation tracking.
4. Open Access and Archiving
- Al-Ahla operates under a gold open-access policy, making all published articles freely available to the public without subscription barriers.
- All content is archived permanently through PKP Preservation Network (PN) and institutional repositories to ensure digital preservation.
- The system supports metadata harvesting in compliance with OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting), allowing indexing by major academic databases.
