Archiving Policy — Al-Khadim: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat

Al-Khadim: Jurnal Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat ensures the long-term preservation and accessibility of all published content. The journal adopts reliable digital archiving and repository systems to guarantee the integrity, authenticity, and permanent availability of its scholarly records.

1) PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

• Al-Khadim participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to ensure that all published articles are digitally preserved and remain accessible even in the event of system failure or data loss.
• The PKP PN system provides decentralized and distributed archiving among multiple repositories, ensuring redundancy and preservation across trusted networks.
• This initiative aligns with international standards for digital preservation in scholarly communication.

2) Institutional and National Repositories

• Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, national libraries, and disciplinary repositories such as OSF, Academia.edu, or ResearchGate.
• The journal’s published version (PDF) may be archived immediately upon publication, provided that Al-Khadim is properly cited as the original source.
• Repositories must include metadata and the DOI link for proper indexing and citation tracking.

3) Metadata Harvesting and OAI-PMH

• Al-Khadim supports OAI-PMH (Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) to facilitate interoperability and metadata exchange with global databases.
• Metadata from the journal can be harvested by repositories, libraries, and indexing services to increase the discoverability of published content.
• The metadata includes essential information such as titles, author names, abstracts, keywords, publication dates, and DOI identifiers.

4) Digital Backup and Preservation Strategy

• The journal performs regular server backups to protect all digital content from accidental loss or corruption.
• Multiple backup copies are stored on secure institutional servers and cloud-based systems to ensure long-term data safety.
• In the event of website migration, restructuring, or technical issues, the entire content database is preserved and restored to maintain access continuity.
