Author Guidelines — Al-Aulad: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini

Authors are invited to submit scholarly articles that contribute to the advancement of research and practice in early childhood education and Islamic early childhood education. All submissions must comply with the journal’s ethical standards and follow the technical guidelines outlined below.

1. Manuscript Preparation

  • Manuscripts must be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia in a clear, academic style.
  • Files should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format, typed on A4 paper size (21 cm × 29.7 cm).
  • Use Times New Roman 12 pt font, 1.5 line spacing, and margins of 2.5 cm on all sides.
  • The manuscript should be between 5,000–8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
  • All pages must be numbered consecutively at the bottom right corner.

2. Manuscript Structure

  • Title: Concise, informative, and written in title case (maximum 14 words).
  • Author(s) and Affiliation(s): Include the full names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses of all authors. The corresponding author must be clearly indicated.
  • Abstract: Written in both English and Bahasa Indonesia (150–250 words) summarizing the purpose, methodology, key findings, and conclusions of the study.
  • Keywords: 3–5 relevant terms representing the article’s main concepts.
  • Introduction: Present background, research problems, objectives, and the significance of the study.
  • Literature Review: Outline relevant theories, previous studies, and conceptual frameworks.
  • Methodology: Explain research design, subjects/participants, instruments, procedures, and data analysis methods.
  • Results and Discussion: Present research findings supported by tables, figures, and critical interpretation linked to theory or practice.
  • Conclusion: Provide concise statements of findings, implications, and recommendations.
  • References: List only cited works in the text, arranged alphabetically, and formatted according to APA (7th Edition) style.

3. Citation and Reference Style

  • In-text citations must follow the author-date format (e.g., Rahman, 2022; Sari & Yusuf, 2021).
  • All references must comply with the APA 7th Edition standard.
  • Authors are encouraged to use reference management tools such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero.
  • Example:
    Rahman, M. (2022). Pedagogical Approaches in Islamic Early Childhood Education. Journal of Islamic Education, 5(2), 123–135. https://doi.org/10.xxxxxx

4. Submission Process

  • All manuscripts must be submitted online through the Open Journal System (OJS) of Al-Aulad: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini.
  • Authors must ensure the manuscript is free from grammatical errors and plagiarism before submission.
  • All submissions will undergo a Turnitin plagiarism screening; manuscripts with more than 20% similarity may be rejected.
  • Authors can monitor the review and publication progress through their OJS account.

5. Ethical Compliance

Authors must adhere to the Publication Ethics of Al-Aulad, ensuring honesty, originality, and respect for intellectual property. Any detected form of plagiarism, data manipulation, or unethical research conduct will result in rejection or retraction of the article.
