Archiving Policy — Al-Aulad: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini

Al-Aulad: Jurnal Ilmu Pendidikan dan Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini ensures the long-term digital preservation and accessibility of all published content. The journal implements multiple archiving systems and digital preservation strategies to safeguard the scholarly record and maintain permanent access to all published materials.

1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

• Al-Aulad participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to ensure that all published articles are preserved in a secure and decentralized digital archive.
• The PKP PN system guarantees the long-term availability of journal content even in cases of server failure or data loss.
• Through this network, the journal’s files are stored in multiple geographically distributed servers managed by the Public Knowledge Project.

2. Institutional and National Repositories

• Authors are encouraged to deposit their published articles in institutional repositories, national libraries, or subject-based repositories (such as OSF, Academia.edu, or ResearchGate).
• Self-archiving of the published version (PDF) is allowed immediately after publication, provided that Al-Aulad is properly cited as the original source.
• The journal also supports metadata indexing and citation tracking across academic repositories and search engines.

3. Metadata Harvesting and Indexing

• The journal’s metadata can be harvested via the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH).
• This enables inclusion and indexing of Al-Aulad content in academic databases, libraries, and global repositories.
• Metadata includes information such as article titles, author names, affiliations, abstracts, keywords, and DOI identifiers to enhance discoverability.

4. Digital Preservation and Backup

• Al-Aulad maintains regular server backups to prevent data loss and ensure the continuity of all digital content.
• Each article is stored in multiple secure digital formats to maintain accessibility and readability over time.
• In the event of website migration or system updates, all archived materials are carefully restored without compromising integrity.
