1. Initial Editorial Screening

  • Upon submission, each manuscript is screened by the editorial team to ensure compliance with the journal’s focus and scope, formatting requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria or contain serious methodological or ethical issues (e.g., plagiarism) are rejected at this stage.
  • Only manuscripts that pass this initial screening are forwarded to the peer review stage.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

  • Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two anonymous reviewers who possess relevant academic expertise.
  • Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to each other throughout the review process to ensure impartiality.
  • Reviewers assess the manuscript based on originality, clarity, methodology, theoretical contribution, and relevance to the field of early childhood Islamic education.
  • Based on their evaluations, reviewers will recommend one of the following decisions:
    • Accept without revisions
    • Accept with minor revisions
    • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
    • Reject

3. Revision and Resubmission

  • Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments and suggestions within a specified period.
  • The revised manuscript must be accompanied by a detailed response letter explaining how each reviewer’s comment has been addressed.
  • Depending on the nature of the revisions, the manuscript may undergo a second round of peer review to verify improvements.

4. Final Decision and Publication

  • The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision based on reviewers’ recommendations, the quality of revisions, and the manuscript’s overall contribution to the journal’s field.
  • Accepted manuscripts proceed to the copyediting, layout, and proofreading stages before publication.
  • Authors receive galley proofs for final verification before the article is published online.
